CAREER OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic, high performer for the role of Head of Business and Partnership Development, based in Centurion. This is a full-time position, which forms part of the Executive Committee (EXCO) and reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview
The Head of Business and Partnership Development will be responsible for leading Brolink’s growth strategy through existing as well as new revenue models. The role will drive growth by identifying, securing, and managing strategic partnerships and business development opportunities. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, expanding the company’s market reach, and unlocking new revenue streams through innovative collaboration models.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Strategic Leadership
•Develop and execute the company’s growth, sales, and partnership strategies, in line with the company strategy.
•Identify new market opportunities, analyse competitor strategies, and recommend strategies to increase market penetration and competitiveness.
•Lead and inspire a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, entrepreneurship, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

2.Partnership Development
•Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic partnership opportunities to drive business growth
•Build strong relationships with potential partners, clients, and industry stakeholders
•Negotiate new partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value creation
•Oversee the development and implementation of sales and distribution plans, ensuring effective deployment of resources and achievement of sales targets
•Grow the Brolink Brand by developing and executing marketing and branding initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders

3.Operational Management
•Revenue Growth & Pipeline Management driving lead generation and conversion.
•Manage a robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

•Set and achieve growth targets through proactive outreach and relationship management.
•Establish and maintain efficient operational processes and workflows within the sales and distribution function. Identify areas for operational improvement and implement initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and reduce costs.
•Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and measure operational effectiveness and ensure service level agreements are met.

4.Relationship Management
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the account management, underwriting, marketing, and product development teams, to align strategies and ensure seamless coordination across functions for conversions and retentions.
•Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and events to enhance brand visibility and build strategic alliances.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•Education:
Matric
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or exceptional experience is required.
•Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in Partnership, Sales and/or Distribution leadership roles, or equivalent leadership position in the insurance or financial services industry. Extensive short term industry experience is advantageous for this position.
•Technical Expertise:
Excellent knowledge of the South African insurance industry’s regulatory and legislative compliance prescripts as it pertains to commercial and personal underwriting as well as Binder agreements, and premium collections.
•Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate high-performing Sales teams to achieve year on year revenue growth.
Management of resources (Financial and Human)
•Strategic Thinking:
Demonstrated experience in aligning sales tactical plans to achieve business objectives in the short term and to develop long term business plans to grow and scale the partnership books. Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable sales plans.
•Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create sustainable partnerships with key stakeholders.
